10 Fresh Feuds WWE MUST Book After The 2020 Draft
6. Asuka Vs. Naomi
Asuka and Naomi had one singles match on SmackDown in 2018 after their too brief tag team run together and it was excellent, a babyface vs. babyface clash that set up a potential classic in the future. Naomi has always been underrated in the ring and has only gotten better recently. With the outpouring of support and adoration she’s had this year, it’s the perfect time to capitalise on her star power and put her in a program with Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship.
Naomi shouldn’t turn heel for this to happen either; she is a natural babyface and should be kept that way until her potential is properly capitalised on. She doesn’t need to win this feud, but getting to have 15-20 minute singles matches with one of the best in the world would be greatly beneficial, and hopefully lead to a proper world title reign down the road.
It would do a lot for Asuka as well, giving her an angle and series of matches for her reign to be remembered by, something that she deserves after several directionless reigns with world titles. It would benefit both women and produce wonderful matches - an essential pairing.
