While the Mysterio family is currently still feuding with Seth Rollins, this feud needs to end after Hell in a Cell. It has been mostly wonderful, inspiring two fantastic PPV matches and Rollins’ best work since 2018, but it has run its course and it’s time for everyone to move on to different things. Rey’s priority should be the Universal Championship.
He has the star power, he has the natural story of experiencing so much pain this year and the disrespect Roman has shown to his own family would stand out to a notoriously loving family man like Rey. The promos that Rey could cut to Roman’s face about how he supported his son through true pain, while Roman inflicted it on his cousin, would be miraculous. The match would be an ultimate underdog story, what Rey is best at. Roman’s powerhouse offence could destroy the much smaller man, making his brief comebacks feel even more monumental.
Beating Rey and taunting him after the bell as Dominik holds his broken father would be a flawless way to keep Roman’s heel reign overwhelming. The match would be an astonishing accomplishment, they are simply two of the best in the world at this.
