10 Funniest Wrestling Moments Of 2018

8. With Apologies To Jim Ross

This is very much comedy of the dark variety, but for the sheer pratfall slapstick element, it was much too difficult to stifle a laugh no matter how beloved the recipient of a not inconsiderable injury.

Jim Ross soundtracked so many iconic wrestling moments - he made them iconic - while, in parallel, making WWE a much better company as a result of his immense scouting acumen. A somewhat pitiable character over the years, resulting from Vince McMahon's cruel treatment of him, this was a Peak Jim Ross moment. He was forcibly removed from his chair following an errant Jay White guardrail suplex to Juice Robinson. In falling flat on his arse, he conspired to pop Vince while commentating in a company not named WWE. And, given Jonathan Coachman's crack at his cracked rib on the subsequent RAW, this certainly did happen.

"Hey Vince," somebody actually, genuinely said. "Get a load of this!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

JR's flustered reaction was equally priceless. "These people need to get their sh*t together!" he muttered, as white knight Josh Barnett told White "You done f*cked up now" before chasing him around the ring. Barnett actually did the f*cking up, since he's no longer employed by New Japan.

JR's refusal to research or even put over New Japan's talent - he does something else whenever he's near a computer - somewhat eased the guilt.
