This entry is written with less enthusiasm than it would have been a few short months ago. After recent revelations about past misogynistic comments, hopefully Sammy Guevara has sincerely changed his ways as it’s the only asterisk on an otherwise bright future.
Another long term prospect and the other half of what should be a career rivalry with Darby Allin, right now Guevara is the cocky guy you love to see getting his ass kicked. His character work makes him basically Teflon to losses.
One day however, all that time spent under Chris Jericho’s learning tree will come to fruition. Sammy will be the heel champion who has learned how to scrape through matches with his championship reign intact. Which will only make his eventual big match dethroning all the sweeter.
