Tony Deppen is a rising star of the American independent scene and is one to watch in the next few years.
His charisma and in-ring ability are second to none while his work during Effy's Big Gay Brunch has cemented him as one of the best cocky obnoxious heels in the business today. While the events put on by GCW and Effy have charted his journey into becoming an ally of the LGBTQ community and declaring his love for Twinks, his work in Ring of Honor has been just as good.
His first match of the year for GCW was against Jordan Oliver in an Ironman challenge that is possibly one of the best matches in GCW and should be in contention for a spot on Match of the Year lists. His matches against Starboy Charlie are also of note along with his alliance with Brody King and Chris Dickinson. When Taiji Ishimori came to GCW it was Deppen who was picked to face the Junior Heavyweight legend and they took each other to their limit.
Deppen is set to continue to raise the bar in GCW in 2022.
