Building a reputation online and over WrestleMania weekend in 2019, Effy is someone who should always be on your card. His ability to capture an audience helped him through 2020 and into 2021 where he has become undeniable and one of the biggest indie stars of his generation.
His long-standing feud with Matt Cardona for the Internet Championship and the heart of GCW has been one of the best and most multi-layered stories that GCW has put together this year. A lot of credit needs to go to both Effy and Cardona for this, with both men being opposites while elevating what it means to be an independent wrestler.
