10 Genius Ways Tony Khan Can Get The AEW Magic Back

1. THIS Is The Solution To The Ring Of Honor Problem

Too few people care about Ring Of Honor because it wasn't cruelly taken from its devoted fanbase when Bryan Danielson was rewriting the standard of technical wrestling. It stumbled into ostensible nonexistence shortly after it was invaded by the inadvertently hilarious outlaw chud show Control Your Narrative and years after it was relevant or even acclaimed.

This wildly unnecessary business is not working in the context of AEW TV - it if anything is detracting from AEW TV - and because it's all over TV, it can't possibly feel like a much-anticipated reboot when it finally becomes its own entity. If nobody was particularly nostalgic for it in February 2022, they sure as sh*t aren't in November.

How to launch a product that has already been launched, and nobody cares about?

Have Chris Jericho "lose" the World title again, after cheating Claudio Castagnoli again, prepare to launch another "worldwide investigation", and then laugh, saying he doesn't really care. ROH is dead.

Bryan Danielson et al. are fuming, but will not compete for an Interim title while Jericho is healthy. It's not the honourable means of winning it. ROH itself is phased out until a solution can be reached over its future. Suspend Jericho from AEW for a month; he's had a fantastic year, but he's losing the audience again, gauging by every last reply on social media.

Then, when a streaming deal is finally in place, book Jericho Vs. tournament winner for the first show, which Jericho won't be able to resist being the star of. His shameless walk-back would make for some cracking in-character material. It's hardly a genius idea, really, but people need a break from it all.

That, or admit to buyer's remorse and try again in a couple of years.

Or, if the deal is already finalised but not already make public, rejoice. You can actually make a choice as an AEW fan not to watch it anymore, and the problem has resolved itself.
