10 Genius Ways Wrestlers Survived WWE Humiliations
5. Bray Wyatt Blames The Fans
The end of Bray Wyatt's run as 'The Fiend' was mortifying.
WWE's cartoony melodrama went into overdrive when Randy Orton burned the alter-ego alive. Then, Wyatt's 'Fiend' returned as a melted candle and looked for vengeance. As if that wasn't bad enough, the character appeared anew at WrestleMania 37 before once again disappearing post-defeat.
Bray left the company and everybody wondered if he'd be given the chance to exorcise those demons. Since returning in October, Wyatt has pointed the finger of blame at fans for encouraging the damaging nonsense/behaviour of 'The Fiend'. This new introspective approach is rather interesting.
Now, Bray is portraying somebody who loves wrestling so much he'd do anything to entertain. It's a genius inner battle, one that'll hopefully heap hugely satisfying creative rewards on the backend. Of course, that remains to be seen, but things look promising thus far, and Wyatt is well on his way to rescuing things.
