1. Bam Bam Bigelow Saves Three Children From A Burning House
The Beast From The East was one of the toughest looking wrestlers in the WWE. With a bald head covered in tattoos and an outfit covered in flames he cut a menacing figure and was a natural heel just based on his look alone. Of course many fans who remember his work will also know that he was one of the best big man wrestlers of his or any other era. Combining devastating power moves with athleticism that would be difficult to emulate by a man half his size, Bigelow should have cut a swathe of destruction through the ranks of WWE. Unfortunately for Bam Bam things never quite panned out that way. Still, his reputation for toughness was always there and nowhere was that more evident than when he saved three children from a burning house back in 2000. Bigelow suffered burns to 40% of his body during the rescue and found it difficult to wrestle a heavy schedule afterwards, eventually retiring from the business altogether. He still described the act as the greatest thing that he ever did with his life and it was an enormous shame that he eventually passed away from a drug overdose a mere seven years later.
