4. Alberto Del Rio - His Old Gimmick Back
Alberto Del Rio's return and (clean) defeat of John Cena was one of the highlights of Hell In A Cell 2015, but since then he's struggled to gain any sort of momentum. Much of the blame for this must be laid at the feet of his new 'Mexamerica' gimmick and ill-fitting partnership with Zeb Colter. Their pre-match promos have rapidly become samey and tiresome, and hearing Del Rio harp on about "haters" just feels unnatural. The best Christmas present for Alberto would also be the simplest solution of all: a return to his old gimmick. Del Rio's aristocratic persona was never the problem during his initial spell with the company - it was actually the most interesting part of his run, a gimmick which saw him making his entrance in a variety of luxury cars, dragging his own personal ring announcer along in tow, and generally behaving like a spoiled, yet very talented, brat. The former WWE Champion really needs to ditch his one-note "Mexamerica" shtick. It screams 'midcarder', and paints him as considerably less of a threat than he was in years gone by.
