10 Gimmicks So Bad They Didn't Even Make It To WWE TV

7. Alexa Bliss: Hillbilly

Wrestling was wild. A few months ago, a gimmick like this must've felt like a career death sentence narrowly avoided.

And now Alexa Bliss is playing a young girl playing hopscotch and drooling black goo from her lips as part of a storyline that all began with her showing a dangerous attraction - "moth to a flame" - to the Fiend. Dangerous is indeed the word. Look what he's turned her into. The question must be asked...why? Why did the Fiend, a babyface, do this to Alexa Bliss? You'd really hope that the two things that have in fact unfolded successively - Alexa Bliss being attracted to Bray Wyatt, Bray Wyatt using some indeterminate power to turn her into a schoolgirl - has everything to do with WWE suddenly deciding that Alexa Bliss should play a spooky child because that's what they do in the legitimate horror movies they wish they made, and not this wrasslin' sh*t.

And nothing to do with the implication.

In developmental promo class, Alexa and Scott Dawson played a pair of hillbillies because that's just what southern people are, and some of the women are inexplicably hot, too! Sitcoms have confirmed this!

And it's 100% better than the sh*t she's doing - or gurgling - now.
