9. Daniel Bryan Wins The Intercontinental Championship
The Intercontinental Championship was the most important secondary title in WWE at one time. It was a stepping stone to the WWE title and any man that had it used to it move up the ladder in the company. From Chris Jericho to Stone Cold to The Rock, The IC title was coveted for its prestige and its history. Of course, that point of view has lessened over the years and the belt itself has been somewhat diminished. Now it seems to be nothing more than a piece of hardware traded among guys that may be world title caliber but instead have to settle for second place. However that can all change thanks to WrestleMania and Daniel Bryan. Bryan's Mania moment came in 2014 and it was one of the most exciting times for WWE fans. Bryan's rise against The Authority was epic as he fought his way from the bottom to the main event and he did it with the full support of everyone that ever followed him throughout his career. Bryan's main event role may not be what it was then but his popularity is still on another level. If he wins the Intercontinental title at Mania, then there will be more spotlight on the belt than ever before. Bryan deserves to be at the top while the IC championship deserves to be right there with him. Seeing Bryan have another great WrestleMania moment while also elevating the belt would right two wrongs at one time.
