10 Grand Moments We Need To See At WrestleMania 31

6. Rusev Beats John Cena

For the first time since he became WWE's top guy, John Cena is not booked in a featured main event match at WrestleMania. All of the talk happening in the company concerning the future is now truly beginning to take shape and it definitely appears as though WWE is ready to begin moving Cena ever so slightly to the side. Of course, that does not mean Cena is done. WWE is still committed to him and he is still at the top of the mountain but new faces like Rusev are beginning to gain some traction. The feud between these two men has gone exactly the way it should, with Cena as the patriot and Rusev as the anti-American villain. It's custom made for John to get over and many feel that is what will happen at WrestleMania. However, Rusev remains undefeated and it's the only such streak of its kind in WWE right now. The company has done everything in its power to promote him as an unstoppable monster, a force that dominates every time he steps into the ring. He has been built as on old school communist heel, a throwback to the 1980's era of Nikita Koloff and the Cold War. Cena is by all rights the perfect man to take him down. That is not what should happen at Mania. A victorious Rusev would be stronger than ever before and the sight of him holding up the United States Championship over a prone John Cena would be one of the most epic moments WrestleMania has ever seen. Cena is still the most over Superstar on the roster and a loss will not slow him down but a loss for Rusev could potentially halt all the forward progress he has made thus far.
