It's incredible to think that Chris Jericho and The Undertaker never had a one-on-one pay-per-view match in WWE. The writers slept on several chances to make it happen. It's often forgotten that one of Jericho's earliest skits in the company called for him to interrupt 'Taker, call him boring and then face his wrath.

Except that wrath never came.

Years later, when Jericho was more established as a main event player, he worked a Triple Threat match with 'Taker and Big Show at Survivor Series 2009. The bout basically boiled down to a handicap gimmick (Show and Jericho were partners at the time) and wasn't nearly as satisfying as a singles showdown between Canadian and Death Valley native would've been.

Those were the only pay-per-view matches for both men, but they did have a few TV matches between 2008-2009 too. In 2018, they almost faced off at the Greatest Royal Rumble. WWE decided to go with Rusev in that spot instead, because...reasons.
