10 Greatest Big Man/Little Man WWE Tag Teams Of All Time
8. Two Dudes With Attitudes
There's a legitimate argument to be made that Kevin Nash wouldn't have lasted very long in this business if he hadn't made fast friends with Shawn Michaels, whose star was on the rise after the WWF's infamous steroid scandal left Vince McMahon without his top guys. And when you compare Diesel's solo career in the WWF to his time wrestling alongside HBK...that argument becomes pretty airtight.
In the early 90s, it was almost impossible to be taken seriously as a main event wrestler unless you looked like a bodybuilder. Rather than try to tack on an extra hundred pounds to his frame, the simple solution for Michaels was to bring in Diesel to act as his muscle.
Though he started with the title of "Bodyguard", Big Daddy Diesel quickly became Michael's official tag partner. The Heartbreak Kid covered up a lot of the big man's flaws in the ring, allowing for the most seamless and energetic matches of Kevin Nash's career.
And if you can get beyond their unbelievably lame moniker, it's still a treat to go back and watch two superstars on the rise work some magic against the likes of The Headshrinkers and Owen Hart & Yokozuna.
