10 Greatest Vince McMahon Creations

6. The Ultimate Warrior

Like Mr. Perfect, this may fall under "tweak" than outright "creation" - but unlike Perfect, it's difficult to envisage any promotor getting the mileage out of Warrior that Vince McMahon did.

Warrior was already the 'Dingo Warrior' before he ran into Titan Towers, but the name was suitably batsh*t, given the man behind it. It was bizarrely, specifically Antipodean for a man billed from Parts Unknown. It was shelved immediately. McMahon soon settled on the "Ultimate" prefix and had in-house composer whizz Jim Johnston craft a frenzied pounding rock tune precision engineered to pop live crowds and soundtrack his sprint to the ring. His face paint colour palette was broadened to better fit in with the DayGlo aesthetic and make his action figures pop from the shelves.

Vince also protected his investment superbly by concealing Warrior's weaknesses in the ring; unless such an occasion as WrestleMania demanded it, Warrior was rarely in there longer than ten minutes, if that. The story told onscreen - that Warrior was so powerful he could vanquish his opponents with ease - obscured the true story.

In reality, Warrior was so limited and in such dubious cardiovascular shape that the smoke and mirrors would have dissipated and shattered.
