10. WCW Championship Match - Diamond Dallas Page vs. Goldberg (Halloween Havoc 1998)
The fall of 1998 featured three distinct stories involving top World Championship Wrestling stars. The Ultimate Warrior had returned after a two-year disappearance from television and began feuding with Hulk Hogan, the man he had beaten clean nearly a decade earlier. Diamond Dallas Page's unlikely rise to the top of the wrestling industry was about to culminate with a huge main event heavyweight championship bout. Finally, Goldberg was proving to be the first real, original breakout star WCW produced during the Monday Night Wars and was in the midst of a record-breaking undefeated streak. A Spear and Jackhammer, however, ended the New Jersey native's night on a sour note and ensured the continuation of Goldberg's phenomenal run.
