8. Daniel Bryan Overcomes The Authority (WrestleMania 30)
Another rare example of well-designed retaliation in recent years, even if it was fed-up viewers that had to manipulate the writer's hand. Bryan had been fighting for revenge ever since he was screwed out of the WWE Championship at SummerSlam by Triple H and Randy Orton. When Bryan's part of the story abruptly ended by Halloween, fans seethed. They raged moreso when Big Show took over, and were apoplectic when Bryan was absent from the Royal Rumble match. Eventually, the "YES Movement" got their heartfelt wishes fulfilled when Bryan finagled his way into a parlay where he went over on Helmsley, and later topped both Orton and Batista for the unified belt. Those few weeks prior to WrestleMania where a brooding Helmsley callously attacked Bryan only made the double-victory even sweeter.
