From an unlikely duo of the present to the most unlikely duo of the past. The rivalry between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon is arguably the biggest in the history of professional wrestling, the rivalry that kickstarted the Attitude Era and changed the future of pro graps as we knew it.

When you've been rivals for so long, what is more shocking than an alliance being formed between the boss and the anti-authority redneck? That is exactly what happened at WrestleMania X-Seven, and the relationship between Austin and McMahon over the next few months was way more entertaining than it had any right to be.

It was all a bit weird, but seeing Austin shower Vince with hugs, gifts and songs was hilariously entertaining. This was a bromance for the ages alright.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
