The story of Zack Ryder is a tale of triumph and tragedy. He was treading water in WWE and decided to make a name for himself. He created the online video series Z! True Long Island Story where he poked fun at himself and his position within the company. His persona of a Long Island bro was suitably goofy, and his catchphrase of Woo Woo Woo, You Know It! was vague and nonsensical, but the whole package clicked with the fans. Zack Ryder started to get over with the fans in a huge way, his t-shirts were selling out constantly despite rare appearances on television and chants of WE WANT RYDER! drowned out even the most popular stars every week. He defeated Dolph Ziggler with the aid of Hugh Jackman, and main evented Raw with John Cena against The Miz and R-Truth. In December 2011, he won the United States Championship from Ziggler, but unfortunately, that would be the peak of his career. Shortly after his title win, he entered into a love triangle with John Cena and Eve Torres, and became Kanes punching bag whenever the Devils Favourite Demon couldnt get to Cena. He lost the United States Championship to Jack Swagger and has been meandering in the lower card ever since.
