Perhaps this one benefits from being fresher in the mind, having taken place just last year. But nonetheless, I think this match was an awesome piece of storytelling from a truly enthralling feud. In one of the bitterest angles in recent memory, Dean Ambrose was looking for retribution after Seth Rollins had turned on the Shield. There was a tremendous amount of steam behind this one, and the in-ring psychology that we saw on display well and truly lived up to that hype. For me, the greatest moment came mid-way through the match. Grimacing, Ambrose watched on as Seth hobbled back to his feet. Now you pay for it Seth, he cried you stabbed me in the back, you son of a. Im sure you know the rest. But in one moment, the desperate look of sadness and anger on Deans face summed up everything that this feud was about. And we saw that look again when Dean eventually nailed the Curb Stomp on Seth, in what was seemingly that sweet, sweet moment of redemption that hed been so longingly craving But alas, a screwy finish was mere moments away. Questionable booking aside though, there was so much emotion in this match that I couldnt help but love it. Add in some of the more nuanced details; the words choose hell emblazoned on Deans wrist tape, his bold declaration that were all gonna die tonight before making his way stop the Cell, and youve got a truly wonderful piece of storytelling that turns a good match into a great one.
