10 Greatest WWE Super Heavyweight Wrestlers
6. Kane
Glenn Jacobs might be the greatest professional in wrestling history. Since his 1997 debut as Kane, he has been an invaluable asset to WWE, the most reliable man on the roster.
His onscreen debut is the stuff of dreams for a wrestling monster, finally making an appearance after masterful build up, then wrenching a steel door off its hinges and attacking kayfabe brother The Undertaker.
If his booking has never quite lived up to that electric introduction it’s understandable, but Kane has been nothing if not solid ever since, and has often been part of scorching storylines, like the hugely popular Team Hell No with Daniel Bryan (along with a fair few high profile disasters, like Katie Vick, and his marriage to Lita).
The young, masked Kane was notably lithe and quick, but in every iteration Jacobs has managed to convey the monstrousness at the character’s heart - all the more impressive as he is widely considered one of the nicest guys in wrestling. Now mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, Jacobs surely has a job for life with WWE should he want it.
