1. Daniel Bryan

Fired three times by WWE, and regularly labelled a ‘B+ player’ by Triple H, Daniel Bryan is just about the greatest underdog wrestling has ever seen.

Bryan embodied everything an underdog should be, both inside and outside of wrestling kayfabe. He was an independent darling, respected for his craft, rather than his size. He was a friendly, animal-loving vegan from Aberdeen, Washington, and had very little interest in big houses, money, or flashy cars. He cared about the environment, loved the fans, and perhaps most importantly, he adored wrestling.

But no matter how much audiences cheered for Bryan, he was consistently kept in the role of the B+ player. That is, until the “Yes Movement” took over. Finally understanding that Daniel Bryan was the hero fans wanted to see in the main event, WWE inserted the 'American Dragon' into the WrestleMania XXX main event.

From humble beginnings, a 5'8", 210lb bearded vegan systematically toppled the evil Authority. He did it with pride, with class, and with an army of adoring fans at his side, and in doing so, he opened up the door for similar ‘B+ players’ to make an even bigger impact on the professional wrestling industry.
