Wrestling fans in 2019 are more spoiled for quality than they've ever been. Don't kid yourself, this writer knows full well he's in that bracket too. Us fans have endless content to watch, and it's usually solid-if-not-awesome. That's led to some becoming rebels because they don't know what else to do.

AEW are finding this out already.

At Fight For The Fallen, Chris Jericho viciously attacked Hangman Page after his match with Kip Sabian, pulled off a mask to reveal himself and flashed a devious grin at the hard cam. Rather than revile this sneaky ambush on a babyface, folks in Jacksonville loudly chanted, "Thank You, Jericho". It was their way of letting the world know they understand Jericho's entitled heel gimmick.

Good for them, but it hurt the broadcast. By sh*tting on Hangman's plight, fans were also taking an almighty dump on the main event of August's All Out pay-per-view. Apparently, seeing a newcomer overcome the heel tactics of an ageing warrior isn't as important to peeps as looking smart or edgy.
