8. Curt Hennig

Curt Hennig was sadly taken far, far too soon. He was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007, although Mr. Perfect was unfortunately binned by the WWE back in 2002.

In fairness to the WWE, their hand was forced a little, as uproar was caused after an intoxicated Hennig attempted to take down Brock Lesnar on the infamous Plane Ride from Hell. In a journey that was full of excessive, erratic partying, Curt went too far and the ill-judged tussle with Lesnar saw the two superstars nearly collide with the plane door.

With certain WWE authority figures, such as Jim Ross, Paul Heyman, Fit Finlay, Arn Anderson and even supposedly Stephanie McMahon, on board, it was deemed that Hennig was at fault and was promptly released from his WWE contract, with him never managing to return to the company before his untimely death in February 2003.

Hennig was one of the most talented performers the business has ever seen, but there was no way that the WWE could do business with him after the events of that raucous flight.
