10 Hidden Gem Wrestlers That Would Blow AEW Fans’ Minds

8. Shane Mercer

Shane Mercer's tag team partner, KTB, has already worked several Dark tapings for AEW, hence his exclusion from this list. Placing Iron Beast in the company's tag division would yield immediate results, though. Their wide array of unique double-team moves (many of which revolve around using other human beings as projectiles) would make them stand out in a scene still lacking an explosive powerhouse tandem, and their 5 June runout against Evil Uno and Stu Grayson was a fine introduction to what they can do.

Stylistically, Mercer is a raw-boned action-first powerhouse. Nicknamed 'The Iron Demon', he is meathead energy personified, stomping to the ring with bulging muscles and sunglasses of dubious necessity. He has a move called Moon-sault and Battery, for f*ck's sake, and much of his arsenal revolves around launching people skyward, catching them, and launching them again.

A wrestler for people who blast Madball while pumping iron and wash down their steaks with creatine, Mercer is a serious pro wrestler with a go-go-go approach between the ropes, making one of the indie scene's most fun watches.
