10 Hidden Gem Wrestlers That Would Blow WWE Fans' Minds

3. Daisuke Sasaki

A reminder that this list is comprised of wrestlers the WWE audience would take well to, not necessarily wrestlers that would do well in WWE's system. History tells us, sadly, that Japanese wrestlers do not do well in Stamford, particularly after moving up from NXT to Raw or SmackDown, regardless of whether or not they get over.

Either way, Daisuke Sasaki is one of the most outwardly charismatic wrestlers on the planet - and somebody who'd pop NXT's smaller room in particular.

A low-down, scuzzy sleazebag, Sasaki projects similar traits to NJPW's Tetsuya Naito. He is laconic by design and works to his character every time out. Though he relies on well-used Western-style heel tropes a lot of the time, this isn't a slight on his wrestling ability, as he marries expressive work with well-timed shortcuts and chicanery, making him stand out on any card.

That Sasaki's style is built on a lot of what has worked for American audiences for decades would serve him well. Though the booking patterns would inevitably fail him, he would at least garner a sizeable cult following and retain it through whatever f*ckery was thrown his way.
