10 Hidden Meanings Behind WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House Attires

6. Velveteen Dream - Negan

Velveteen Dream and Adam Cole's Backlot Brawl came nowhere close to the cinematic epics that have worked (Boneyard Match, Firefly Fun House), couldn't trigger debate like the one that split the audience (Money In The Bank), and doesn't belong in the same conversation as the genre's peak (Stadium Stampede), but at least it was actually cinematic.

Or whatever the televisual equivalent of that is anyway. Mauro Ranallo noted that Dream had abandoned the little red Corvette for the gorgeous Lamborghini he pulled up in, but all of the Prince ensemble was gone in place of a spot on Walking Dead homage.

Dream was decked out like Negan, the zombie show's famous antagonist, baseball bat and all. An anti-hero to the end, he faired better under his spotlight than the TakeOver title challenger.
