5. Rhea Ripley - Dragonball Z's Vegeta

Rhea Ripley's away kit ensemble was inspired by Dragonball Z's Vegeta - a character that always plays second fiddle to central figure Goku. Within the show, the pair elevate each other through competition, much as this match did for both Champion and Challenger. This itself was a tease not just for this battle but the ones left to come before the war is over.

Brilliantly too, it's not even the first time she's cribbed the look.

Twitter user @BIVCKJAMESDEAN noted the reference to the character during her independent days, though 2020's version arrived understandably upscaled.
