Who will ever forget the images of Triple H planting his foot to deliver a strike to the back of Chris Jericho's head and his leg giving out, sending him crumbling to the mat?

"It felt like I got shot in the leg," he said in interviews after the fact - and it had looked every bit as painful.

The moment became a turning point in the career of The Game. Long one of the most despised individuals in WWE, he earned the respect of fans all over the world for his willingness to not only fight through the pain and finish the match but, also, for the manner in which he endured what had to be an excruciating few moments trapped in Y2J's Walls of Jericho.

An incredible series of vignettes set to U2's "Beautiful Day" preceded an unforgettable return on the January 7 episode of Raw inside the historic Madison Square Garden. The thunderous ovation he received as he walked the aisle remains one of the most memorable moments in the history of the flagship.

It was not the last time Triple H was faced with rehabbing a torn quadriceps muscle.

In 2007, he tore the right one, cancelling plans for a huge WrestleMania main event sequel pitting him against WWE champion John Cena.
