1. The Genesis Of McGillicutty
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS8HGR4U9GE NXT was WWE's breeding ground for wrestlers with no direction and no experience. They also incorporated some kind of reality TV show element where the wrestlers competed against each other in bizarre tasks to one up one another and the public would then vote for their favourites. Sounds like a win yes? No. Everything about NXT was a train wreck. The only good thing to come out of NXT was Dolph Ziggler and even then that was for comic relief. Well, I say that was the only good thing. We were also treated to this gem of a promo from young Joe Hennig (now going by Curtis Axel). Hennig was originally burdened with the diabolical name of Michael McGillicutty, rather than going the obvious route and labelling him as Mr. Perfect Jr. He eventually finished second in NXT's second season and botched the living daylights out of his loser promo. After floating around in obscurity for a couple of years, Hennig has now been repackaged and partnered with loveable mouthpiece Paul Heyman, which you can take in two ways: it's good as Hennig obviously isn't a natural on the microphone, but it also means we won't be treated to one of these again anytime soon.
