10 Hometown Heroes That Were Embarrassed By WWE

7. Natalya In Calgary

The first third-generation female competitor in WWE history and a member of the legendary Hart wrestling dynasty, Natalya has been a WWE stalwart for years. She’s regularly recognised as one of the company’s most talented female wrestlers, but while she has always been a great worker, Natalya’s run hasn’t brought much success. Since debuting in 2008, Nattie has just a solitary Divas Championship reign to her name, and that came all the way back in 2010.

The Queen of Harts has been dealt some terrible cards throughout her career. Her atrocious 2012 farting gimmick remains her career’s biggest low point, but she has been relegated to “spare part” status at various points in her run.

One of her worst moments came in May 2013. Wrestling in Calgary on her 31st birthday, Natalya received the obligatory hometown pop as she and Kaitlyn took on the Bella Twins. The Bellas, who weren’t particularly good at this point in their career, snuck a victory when Kaitlyn hit her partner with an accidental spear, but the embarrassment didn’t end there. Nikki and Brie took a microphone after the match and rubbed salt into the wound by singing Happy Birthday to Natalya, much to the Calgary crowd’s chagrin.
