10 Horrifying Wrestling Injuries Captured On Camera

7. Bob Holly's Back

Triple H Injury
WWE Network

*The injury in full*

Bob Holly was far more 'Hardcore' than 'Spark Plugg' in real life, but was still nails enough to compete in the odd few stock car races just to get immersed in his horrendous early-1990s gimmick. He was disqualified for some unnecessary roughness in those too.

A man brave enough to demand the WWE Title and an undefeated streak in the same locker room as Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock in 1999 presumably ate gashes like the one above for breakfast, but the size and scale of the frightening cut remains one of the most gruesome in company history. Especially considering the circumstances of the cut.

Holly and Rob Van Dam went careering through a table in the same fashion countless performers had for the better part of a decade during a 2006 episode of the company's relaunched ECW show, but this particular bump saw a shard of wood violently slice Holly with delicate samurai precision. It was probably the most 'Extreme' moment of the entire relaunch, even if it wasn't low enough to break his *ss in half, much to the chagrin of Michael Cole.
