6. Hangman Page Vs. PAC

Kenny Omega
Scott Lesh

A rematch from the debut edition of Dynamite, that match was a better illustration of PAC's heel character than a match in itself. PAC is the bastard who'd rather slow down the pace than get his sh*t in because the crowd loves it when he does.

It's a tricky mode of storytelling - the idea is to get that sh*t in, obviously, but in such a way that the crowd resents him for it - and hopefully PAC strikes that balance better on Saturday in a performance equal to his superb work on the go-home show. Page needs to show more fire and dominance, to both raise his babyface stock and invoke that scintillating pace and arsenal from his opponent. The people and the story demand a better, more urgent match.

There's scope to handle the finish with the sort of neat character development that may further drive Page to villainy; he lost on the Dynamite premiere after PAC blasted him with a low blow. If he loses here definitively, cleanly, it would mark a visual sign of his progressive in-character decline.

And since such a result will tie in elsewhere, allowing the seeds of a high-profile programme to resume...

PREDICTION: PAC
