10 HUGE AEW Revolution 2023 Predictions You Need To Know

6. Samoa Joe (c) Vs. Wardlow

CM Punk
AEW

Samoa Joe and Wardlow have a test to pass here.

Their prior physical encounters simply haven't stacked up to Joe's blinders with Darby Allin or Wardlow's with Brian Cage and Lance Archer, and though the WarJoe split has been made substantially more meaningful with the introduction of 'The War Dog's manbun lore. Joe holding the hair aloft as a trophy jumped from blah to blinding with the reveal of the look being in tribute to the former Champion's Father - a secret Joe knew and thus used against his former partner.

But can this carry an entire match? On a card that had to pick which specific feuds were set to get pay-per-view payoffs, this one feels like it might have jumped the queue over others in similar positions, but it will be a big win for the TNT Championship if it goes well. The title felt hotter away from the pair of them when Darby Allin went on a sprint run through the undercard, but the final battle of a blood feud might be what it now needs to help continue Wardlow's tricky elevation to the upper echelon.

Winner - Wardlow
