10 Huge Bust-Ups Between Wrestlers And Bookers

5. Konnan Vs. Juventud Guerrera

A knotty and bloody tale, Juventud Guerrera's 2009 return to AAA was met with suspicion.

A prodigious talent with a penchant for getting his sh*t in at the expense of the story and his opponents - and in general being a sh*t-disturbing pest - X-Pac devised a cruel and poetic rib in retribution for Juventud's own, disgusting transgression. Juventud in a radio interview had revealed X-Pac's suicide attempt the prior year, the repercussions of which were profound; X-Pac had a hand in raising then-girlfriend Alicia Webb's son, to whom he had grown close. The biological father presented the recording to a judge, which placed the child back into his custody.

In the meantime, Juventud was equally unpopular amongst the entire roster, leading to a grim, ostensible crime scene in which he was assaulted in the ring by a gang of the boys, after which he returned to the back to discover his bag caked in sh*t. He went off, blaming the booker, Konnan, who unlike the rest of the locker room didn't conceal his disgust with the mandatory handshake. With tensions boiling, and a chair allegedly swung in Konnan's direction, Jack Evans brutalised Juventud's face with a barrage of knees in a Muay Thai clinch.

Konnan admitted to throwing a punch during the fracas, and Juventud, infuriated by the beating and the perceived inaction of management, took to the press in a bid to have Evans and Konnan deported. Commissions stepped in, AAA because this is wrestling hilariously tried to engineer a worked shoot angle, and, because this is wrestling, Juventud returned to AAA, after swearing to never return, three years later.

Who was in the right?

This was an all-heel programme.
