10 Huge Names Who Won't Be Competing At WrestleMania 32

6. Daniel Bryan

There are few mysteries in WWE as perplexing to fans as the condition of Daniel Bryan. After suffering an unspecified injury (later revealed to be a concussion) in the weeks following WrestleMania, Bryan was forced to vacate the Intercontinental Championship. While he promised to return to the ring, there's been no progress in that direction since May. Allegedly, WWE's doctor believes that Bryan should never compete again, while Bryan's personal doctor has cleared him. The company was rumored to be seeking out a third opinion, but nothing has been made public regarding their process. Reportedly, Vince McMahon is vacillating on the issue - on the one hand, Raw needs some help when it comes to stars, but on the other, he doesn't want to take any chances with Bryan's health. While we haven't seen the last of Bryan in a wrestling ring (even if it's not a WWE ring), cooler heads will prevail for a number of reasons - most notably because bringing Bryan back prior to WrestleMania will create another scenario where fans rally behind him rather than a chosen star. Even if Daniel Bryan is cleared to compete in early 2016, don't expect him to return before the show of shows. WWE has no vested interest in pushing him hard, and presumably they've learned some lessons from last year's backlash to their plans.
