10 HUGE NJPW Dominion 6.9 2019 Predictions You Need To Know

9. Satoshi Kojima Vs. Shingo Takagi

Chris Jericho IWGP Heavyweight Champion
NJPW

A beast throughout the entire Best of the Super Juniors tournament, Shingo Takagi fell at the final hurdle. His showdown with Will Ospreay was one of the best of the year so far, with 'The Aerial Assassin' forced to pull every trick from his deep, deep bag in order to slay New Japan's 'Dragon,' who fell, but looked monstrous in the process.

It was Takagi's first true loss in the promotion. In response, the Los Ingobernables de Japon bruiser ordered NJPW management let him face a heavyweight at Dominion 6.9. They responded by throwing a former IWGP Champion in Satoshi Kojima at him, suggesting that Takagi's future lies away from the lighter weight class - as many had already predicted.

48 years old he may be, but 'Cozy' is still a game competitor. He's credible, over, and will definitely get his sh*t in, but he's almost certainly here to lose to Shingo. Any other result would be a major shock, given Kojima's lack of focus as anything other than a tag wrestler over the past couple of years. This is where Takagi gets his momentum back.

Winner: Shingo Takagi.
