10 HUGE Problems With WWE's Raw Vs SmackDown Survivor Series Concept

If and when Monday Night Raw take revenge on the SmackDown Live! crew for their wicked assault, it will be just that - revenge. But did WWE intend the blue brand's roster to be the outright heels in this storyline all along? Perhaps.

Daniel Bryan's disappointment with Shane McMahon's first strike philosophy bore out a minor undercurrent of forethought about how this may play out, but then on the very same show, AJ Styles, Bobby Roode and The New Day were to be considered lead babyfaces as normal despite their ugliest visages creeping out during Monday's violence.

When a plot thread can be unpicked with such ease over the course of a two hour show, there is genuine cause for concern about the wider story WWE is trying to tell. Concern from corners of the audience anyway, it's readily apparent how little the company themselves give a sh*t about it in comparison to creating a diversionary visual that will get people talking and gif'ing on Twitter for a few hours.

When Raw give SmackDown the kicking of a lifetime at some point the Survivor Series, they'll only have had it coming. Nakamura, Orton, the lot of them. Only Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, the show's top heels should theoretically be absolved of blame.
