10 HUGE Problems With WWE's Raw Vs SmackDown Survivor Series Concept

4. Hash Of The Champions

Baron Corbin The Miz
WWE

Imagine having both rosters to work with and the opportunity to position Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live!'s best against one another. The raft of fantasy booking opportunities are endless, but a quick survey of the champions on both brands highlight the short-sightedness in blindly pitting titleholders head-to-head.

Jinder Mahal and Brock Lesnar will fight in something of a soul-crushing necessity rather than a gold-laden prizefight. Nobody in their right mind would want to see The Miz take on Baron Corbin if they happened to be on the same roster, so why go there now when a slither of creative forethought could have avoided it? Natalya and Alexa Bliss could do much better than fighting each other in their current incarnations. The tag scrap between The Usos and The Shield should be excellent, in fairness, but one out of four is a pathetic return from the concept.

Annoyingly, the titles are largely in good standing at the moment. But solid foundations may need to crumble in order to fix these p*ss-poor pairings. Either Corbin or Miz have to lose before the Survivor Series in order to save the 'WWE Universe' from such a miserable affair. Similar unwelcome changes could be afoot in the Women's division too. Never mind the pay-per-view, the current crop of champions will do well just to survive the next few weeks with their credibility in tact.
