10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2022
3. Big Swole
She's one of only a few former AEW signees, so naturally, WWE would reach out to Big Swole.
The Big Swole situation is tricky to dissect, though.
She cites a lack of diversity as making her frustrated while under AEW contract, leading to a now-infamous Tony Khan tweet in response. It's a naturally sensitive issue to cover, but alas, WWE could be the most likely next step for Swole.
Objectively, Swole's position in AEW hindered her progress. AEW had booked her as a career mid-carder, but booked her to defeat Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D at All Out 2020. What was the payoff? A Women's World Championship loss to Hikaru Shida a few weeks later. As for Baker? Winning said championship, producing a famed bloodbath vs. Thunder Rosa, main eventing the inaugural Rampage, and being perceived as a pillar of the Tony Khan-helmed company.
Lack of diversity or not, Swole and Khan's joint decision to not renew the former's contract was the right call. She was massively undervalued.
In WWE, there is the possibility for this to change. Her energetic, hard-hitting style would make her a strong fit to face a Sasha Banks or a Liv Morgan, thus transcending her career and theoretically turning her into the calibre of star that Morgan currently is on Monday night.
