10 Huge Wrestling Stars Who Lost To Ridiculous Opponents

5. Sasha Banks Loses To The IIconics

Sasha Banks could be far more of a star than she is.

This isn't facetious at all, but the same could be true of about 90% of the WWE roster. This is a company that ritually mismanages great talent. This is a company that specialises in mismanaging talent.

Of all the talent, Sasha is the one. The real quarter hour ratings draw in the industry, she boasts a massive, fiercely loyal following. She should be the undisputed face of worldwide women's wrestling. She should be in Charlotte Flair's spot, and that's nothing against Flair necessarily but rather a compliment to Banks that WWE, weirdly, never really paid. She did headline WrestleMania, yes, but so did The Miz. It isn't robust proof that WWE considers a talent at the absolute top level.

Sasha - super magnetic, cool, fights to the death with an unmatched intensity in the promotion - lost her Tag Team title to a fairly rubbish comedy act, one half of which bumped like she was being directed by David Lynch, at WrestleMania 35. Controversial, damaging, but mostly very, very stupid, it was the exact sort of result you'll never see an equivalent to in the men's division.

For all talk of revolution and parity, Roman Reigns isn't doing jobs for R-Truth, is he?
