6. Rey Mysterio Vs. Randy Orton

Rey Mysterio's been a revelation in 2018, showing fire at this year's Royal Rumble that eased him back into the organisation after a summer of shows for New Japan Pro Wrestling and some celebrated indie appearances.

His return to SmackDown Live hasn't been any different - the 'Biggest Little Man' has looked decades younger than he did in his prior run with the organisation, and a proven chemistry with Randy Orton from their older programmes suggests this match could be a sleeper for match of the night.

With a winner headed straight to the final by virtue of the Jeff Hardy/Miz draw one match earlier, the tensioned will be heightened before Orton breaks hearts and necks with a spectacular RKO for the finish. The pair were keen enough to give away a springboard variant on the go-home blue brand episode, but Rey's got it in those surgically repaired knees to fly even higher to give 'The Viper' something wilder to aim for.

Winner: Randy Orton
