10 HUGE WWE Fastlane 2019 Predictions You Need To Know

2. Daniel Bryan Vs. Kevin Owens

Rowan Daniel Bryan Sami Zayn

Daniel Bryan's incredible WWE.com promo following the go-home edition of SmackDown Live told the story of "Superstar A" (Owens) and "Superstar B" himself in a way that - by design - heightened his own weaknesses as well as his opponents', underneath layer upon layer of backhanded compliments.

He praised Owens' talents but lamented his "laziness". He noted his own workrate to recover from injury in comparison to 'KO' going bowling and eating pizza whilst patiently awaiting the gifted return date. He pitched the match as "talent and intelligence" vs "intellect and work ethic".

He didn't believe he was wrong, but the best heels never do. Nor do they reveal the full extent of their plans when it comes to toppling not just their opponent but the insecurity they may feel ahead of facing them.

Owens won't win the WWE Championship on Sunday, but he'll certainly have Bryan beat before his one true friend betrays him in an overdue reply for 'KO's old transgressions. A returning Sami Zayn would be a stranger bedfellow with Owens than Bryan anyway, but the shock of the new alliance won't even close the show...

Winner - Daniel Bryan
