Will Baron Corbin ever look like a winner again?

It's not even about being victorious in a match at this point for the much-maligned NXT graduate. Hard as it is to feel sympathy for the 'Lone Wolf', he's clearly still reeling from the natural disaster that swept in and took everything he held dear away from him. Hurricane Cena didn't just take away his aura, it blew it right into another stratosphere. Even his cool entrance music and TitanTron video disappeared in a fog similar to the black smoke that engulfed an unnamed town in the sh*t-hot original.

It was all too much at once, which perhaps means WWE will now afford him a token run with AJ Styles' allegedly prestigious US Title as a failed attempt at instant rehabilitation. Defeat again on the go-home show was WWE's biggest tell that he's at least due a reversal in fortunes, but that's working on the assumption that Vince McMahon's notoriously scatty attitude to those lower down the pecking order doesn't rear up on the big night.

Styles is fine with or without the flag-laden prop (as evidenced by the feckless game of hot potato he played with Kevin Owens earlier this year) anyway, and odds are he'd probably take the thing straight back the following Tuesday anyway.
