10 HUGE WWE Money In The Bank 2020 Predictions You Need To Know

1. Less Than Drake

The same toxic corporate culture that scripted or approved Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon's dismemberment line just weeks removed from the death of Jamal Khashoggi in 2018 managed it again in 2020.

"Climb the corporate ladder" was the witty little subheading to this year's Money In The Bank, presumably (and hopefully) concocted by some marketing heads before WWE decided to lay off or furlough wrestlers and other staff during a global pandemic.

They went with it all the same, all in the shadow of wrestlers sharing their thoughts and dashed dreams in the aftermath of the seemingly unnecessary actions. Drake Maverick's hit particularly hard, with the now-unemployed utility man seemingly beyond consoling at the loss of something he loved.

Until things got weird.

In the video, he referenced the NXT Interim Cruiserweight Championship tournament he was still in. A company oversight, seemingly, until Maverick wove his real life heartbreak into the action, implying that winning the title would secure his job. The company making an angle out of this was unconscionable, but they f*cking did it anyway. Could they go one step further with it on Sunday?

Brock Lesnar's late late showing last year set a new precedent for when competitors could theoretically enter, and who's currently better placed to scale that corporate ladder than the man that apparently needs it most?
