Almost certain to open the main show proper because of the rest time the pair will need before the Royal Rumble, the Falls Count Anywhere match lays out the worrying possibility that the feud might somehow continue after this show.

Between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, WWE have two domestic supercards as well as a rumoured February Saudi Arabia shows to try and fill, and may look towards this long-tenured rivalry to carry on just that little bit longer to give Roman Reigns a big win heading into whatever he's doing at WrestleMania.

Regardless of if this serves as the payoff or not, WWE seem extremely happy with former Raw ratings poison over on SmackDown, and the recent numbers stability will surely encourage them to keep him hot for something good at WrestleMania regardless of if 'The Big Dog' takes his revenge. Roman's got more to do later in the night, and doesn't even have to take a regular pin in the ring here. The inevitability is as cruel as it is crushing.

Winner: King Corbin
