10 HUGE WWE Super Show-Down Predictions You Need To Know

3. AJ Styles Vs. Samoa Joe

When AJ Styles liberated the WWE Championship almost one full year ago, he did so as a man already credited with saving one pay-per-view that month.

Raw’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs card was in pieces after a mumps outbreak, but ‘The Phenomenal One’s last minute fly-in match against Finn Balor created one of 2017’s matches and moments of the year shortly before he converted a potentially-catastrophic clash between Jinder Mahal and Brock Lesnar into a belter between him and ‘The Beast’.

That saviour has since been replaced by another on SmackDown Live. The key difference between the superbly sinister ‘Samoan Submission Machine’ and the current Champion is the ability to get the odd bout of WWE silliness over. In the wrong hands, this boogeyman angle with Styles’ children would have all the credibility of the buffoon that earned a chuckling Santino Marcella a Jim Cornette-sized slapping back in OVW.

Instead, the man that once wrestled with a tribal todger on his face has become the most delightful d*ckhead in the game. There is no show left to save for AJ. Samoa Joe has walked right up to the front door of the house “A-J-STYLES-BUILT” and kicked it down. He might not reach his family, but he’ll deservedly take the title.
