10 Ideas To Salvage WWE Survivor Series

1. #30 Spot In The Royal Rumble

Perhaps the easiest way to create actual, real stakes for Survivor Series would be to find a way to connect it to one of WWE’s biggest PPVs.

Everyone knows that whoever wins the Royal Rumble matches earns a title match at WrestleMania. So what if the winning team at Survivor Series would earn the #30 spot in the upcoming Rumble for their respective brand? That would increase the chances that someone from that brand would win the Rumble match and go on to 'Mania.

You could make it so one of the winning team members would get that #30 spot (and just leave it to the “random” draw), or if WWE is capable of planning things out far enough in advance, you could follow the same concept as the “title shot” idea earlier if there are multiple survivors: The surviving members (or even the entire team) square off in a match – possibly a TLC match at the December PPV – to see who earns the #30 spot in the Rumble.

Just like that, you’ve connected three of WWE’s original Big Four PPVs – and possibly a fifth PPV if the TLC idea were to play out. Everything would build on itself, thus creating long-term storytelling, raising the stakes of Survivor Series in the process.

One can dare to dream.
