10 Ideas WWE Blatantly Stole From THEMSELVES

3. The World Heavyweight Championship

It’s so weird to think that WWE's previous World Heavyweight Championship was just the WCW World Title without that branding. Eric Bischoff handed the thing to Triple H in 2002 with little in the way of explanation, so at least WWE is running a tournament for the new one in 2023.

This "new" belt is still along the same lines though.

The company has simply slapped a big WWE logo in the middle of the belt's design (which appears to have split opinion amongst fans), and are claiming it's a brand new championship. This is the second time they've introduced the World Heavyweight Title suddenly without warning too.

Bizarrely, there's another parallel between now and 2002: Roman Reigns is the "Undisputed WWE Universal Champion", and Brock Lesnar was running around as "Undisputed" Champ when Bisch handed a belt to Triple H 21 years ago. That "Undisputed" tag doesn't really work when there's another champion to dispute it!
